Getting to Know You - Movies!

Mimsical Tammy is the guest host at CAC this month, for the GTKY days! She was interested this week, in finding out our movie fetishes!

Name your all-time favorite movie! (Or if you're like me, narrow it down to your top five!)

Oooohhhhhh I love the Mummy series, the Indiana Jones series, Lilo & Stitch, Star Wars, and V for Vendetta!

What genre of movie do you like best?
Hmm... probably action, followed very closely but cute toons. I like comedies too... basically i like anything but romances and gory horror movies. (Same with books)

What movie made you cry the most?
The Notebook had me SOBBING!!!!!!! OMW!!!!! I was not expecting the ending.

Have you ever applauded during a movie in the theatre? Which one? If not, what would make you do that?
Hmm... no, I don't think i have. I would probably applaud for... a mean person (cuz mean people suck) being defeated and/or humiliated!

Do you own any soundtracks from movies? Which is your favorite and why did the music inspire you?
No, but my cousin owns the ones from LOTR and they are AWESOME!!!! I love the relaxing melodies. *happy sigh*

Is there a particular actor or actress who inspires you? Why do you like him or her?
I think Angelina Jolie is absolutely awesome! Not only does she really do a great job acting (The Bone Collector was SO COOL!!!) but she has used her fame to draw attention to horrible situations in other lands, and her money to give a home to needy children. She is my hero.
Oh, and I love Sean Connery and Antonio Banderas, cuz their accents are HAWT!

Is there a particular actor or actress who you just dislike and will not see their movies? Why?
Hmm... can't think of one.

Have you ever dreamed of being an actor? Which role would be your dream role?
I'd like to be one of those women who looks all cute and sweet, but can beat up grown men, when neccesary. That, or a cop or serial killer.

If there was ever a movie made of your life, who should star as you?
Hmm... I have no idea! Maybe the one who plays Abby in NCIS? lol Or Sarah from CSI... *pondering*

I hope you have fun with the movie questions!
Yes, actually, I DID!!!!! Thanx for asking!

What genre of movie do you like best? I prefer Sci-fi and historical romance.

What movie made you cry the most?
Gosh, a lot of them do, but I must say, that it is a tie between, Steel Magnolias and Step-Mom

Have you ever applauded during a movie in the theatre? Which one?
Yep! It was Poltergeist, where the mom is running down the hall and it begins to stretch and she beats it, I remember vividly the whole audience applauded, there were a few others. But I just cannot recall them.

Do you own any soundtracks from movies? I used to have Mortal Combat's. Hee.

Is there a particular actor or actress who inspires you? Hmmm....Not really inspire, but I love Collin Firth, Hugh Jackman, oh forget it! I have too many favorites.

Is there a particular actor or actress who you just dislike and will not see their movies? Why?
I cannot stand Will Farrow or Rosie O'Donnell, puke, gag me!

Have you ever dreamed of being an actor? Which role would be your dream role? Playing Lizzie on Pride & Prejudice, because then I would be able to kiss Collin Firth.

If there was ever a movie made of your life, who should star as you?
I like Natalie Portman.

Fun!

All-time favorite? Probably Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

Genre of movie? Favorite: Fantasy, Period films (like Pride & Prejudice) Least Favorite: Gory/overly crude, slapstick (like Tammy. :))

Movie made me cry? That darn Notebook. I was warned that it was a crying movie (thanks, Leticia) but I still bawled.

Applauded during a movie? Lord of the Rings, when Boromir dies defending the hobbits, after his momentary lapse into greed. I applauded after every one of those movies.

Own soundtracks? Why, yes, I do. Several. I like that I can get a variety of great songs from different genres without buying each artist's album individually.
Top Five:
1. Elizabethtown
2. Elizabethtown II
3. Lord of the Rings, Return of the King
4. Our Little Corner of the World (Gilmore Girls)
5. Spider-Man 2

Inspirational actor or actress? Well, I've been looking more and more at Christian actors in Hollywood and how they can stand out. Patricia Heaton is involved in excellent movies and other projects. She's a good example...family mom, still married to the same guy, promoting Bible movies...that's great!

Actor or actress I dislike and why? Well, I've decided that I don't really like Will Ferell's movies. He's a one-note actor, who plays that one note over and over in each film. I don't find them all that funny.

Acting dream? I don't think I've ever dreamt of being an actor. I'd like to get on film as a dancer.

Who should star as me? Welll...I like Reese Witherspoon or Drew Barrymore to play my character.
