Winter Madness

It is SOOOOOOOOOOO snowy outside! My car is stuck in the snow... my roomate had to work FOREVER to get hers unstuck last night to go to work. Everyone and everything is under snow today. It's highly annoying! We can't make any funeral plans until the roads are cleaned off enough for us to get Dad's clothes to the funeral home, and clean enough for people to be able to drive to the funeral. I can't get to my 2nd job to get my paycheck, or to the bank to cash my paycheck. Or to a gas station, to buy some sacred Diet Caffine-Free Coke, which I'm craving and totally out of. Or anywhere to buy chocolate.

It's all very annoying.

Is it almost spring yet???????????

Today's Strange Literary Word of the Day:

Dissimulate -
v. tr. To disguise (one's intentions, for example) under a feigned appearance.
v. intr. To conceal one's true feelings or intentions.

Guess which of Poe's stories this comes from, and if you get it correct, I'll add you to my Hall of Fame! (Amy, sowwy, not allowed to answer since you already won.)

I will be praying for all that snowy weather to come our way! We are crying for snow here and only got a teeny-tiny bit of flurries and then the sun came out...argh...

I heard you guys got hit pretty hard yesterday with layers of snow, freezing rain, sleet, etc... no fun.

Please let us know what arrangements you make for the funeral. If at all possible, Debby and I would like to be there.

Praying for you!!!

Jana - I'm so very sorry hon, for all that you're going through right now - your loss, the weather, trying to make plans...I remember how hard it was when my mom passed. Just sending you so very many (((hugs))) and prayers for good weather, strength - all that you need. XOXO

On a lighter note - I just saw your "Strange Literary Word of the Day" - I'm just guessing here, but would it be the Tell-Tale Heart?

And also, I forgot to wish you a happy Valentine's Day. xo

oh - I don't know Poe that well. I simply have no idea. But a great idea for passing a snowy winter day - if we had snow (we got rain)(we were suppoesd to get snow)(i suppose someone might get tired of snow if they ever got some).

May the sun shine, the snow melt and things start flowing soon.

many hugs.
