It is NEGATIVE 3 degrees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The hot water to my bathroom at home is frozen (but did you know, they make Cucumber & Green Tea scented baby wipes? I was pretty impressed!!!) and the pipes to the men's bathrooms here at work are frozen.
In other news... I actually DREAMED about blogging this weekend!!! Bizarre... you know you're truly obsessed when you even blog in your sleep!
Looking towards the future... I need to set some longer-term goals for the month of Feb, and some short-term goals for this weeks in the month. I'm a little afraid of goal-setting... I've always thought it was just setting myself up for failure. But in reality, if I set goals and fail, I'll probably still have accomplished more than I would have if I'd never sent any goals at all! So... goal setting.
What are my goals from now until spring?
- Learn as much as possible about home repairs (piping, flooring, fencing, etc.) to prepare for renovation time
- Pay off doctor bills, apply for home loan
- Prepare outside back yard for planting pretty flowers
- Learn how to care for the Sarah puppy. (I'm inheriting her from SuperRoomie.)
- Make a daily routine (exercise, spiritual life, self-care) and stick to it
- Get roof repair estimates
- Tame wilderness in back yard behind fence (weed-eat, kill poison ivy, etc)
- Tame wilderness inside back yard (clean up pile of brush... bonfire mayhaps? Clean out shed, throw away wierd leftovers from SuperRoomies past)
- Bond more deeply & spend more time with (and prep for) "my kids"
- Keep my blog organized (Posts put on Delicious & Technorati, links current, etc.)
What are the most pressing things for me to do at the moment? (Feb goals)
- Organize doctor bills, find out why insurance didn't pay them
- File taxes
- Plan & implement a daily/weekly routine
- Research home repairs & make a list of needed tools
- Pull dead flowers & poison ivy off of the fencing, prepare fence for new flowers
- Plan lessons for "my kids" as much in advance as possible
- Plan Create A Connection posts
- Find & change to new blog template (I hate this one)
- Update Delicious/Technorati tags for January
- Make doggie-care plan
This week's goals?
- Plan a daily routine
- Use Delicious/Technorati tags on all new posts
- Watch Dance Exercise videos instructions, and learn the dances
- Find new blog template
- Call one bill per day
- Learn about dog care. What kind of dog IS Sarah, anyway?
- Prepare 1 lesson for "my kids"
- Find Arabic language CD
- Draw/Paint/Collage all three sets of goals

Sorry about your dad. I hope they can figure out what's wrong.
Like your goal setting. Are you buying the house you are currently in from your room mate? I was just trying to figure out the home repair and loan goal part. Maybe you mentioned it in a previous blog and I missed it. I make lists of the things I need to do all the time. Helps me stay on task better. Take care!
Before you play with poison ivy, track down Rustox lotion. Most excellent for allergic reactions. Works for my daughter who is as highly prone to it as her birth father (very very very prone to it).
You can start flower seeds now in a bright window and save yourself a ton of money at the garden center in May. =]
So do we get a picture of Sarah? Is she big or little?
Now I think I have to go back to bed and rest after reading all you plan to accomplish!
(holding you and your dad in white light)

What I find about goal setting is that what doesnt get done by a certain date stays in my mind more so I get it done soon after the date
