WHAT A NIGHT!

Holy Crap. Last night was SO wierd. Let me start from the beginning. Aunt Martha came over to stay the night after a company party in my town.
The "new" CSI was a re-run, and I was annoyed... but before I got my stuff together, Aunt Martha and I ended up having a girl-talk session. While we were talking, and my left-brain was nicely distracted... I made my first intuitive collage! (Thanks Shelley! I asked Shelley if she knew of any websites that talked about how to do intuitive collage, because she made it sound so fun... she recommended some sites, but then I remembered she said she had written some articles about it here.) I gave it a shot, and here is what transpired:

What do I think this says about me? I miss romance. James and i have been SOOOOOOOOOOO busy this week that we haven't had any time for intimacy or fun. His car is not working, and we've been working on that until his bedtime every night. I also am ready for more growth in my life... both inward (as always) and outward as last night I finished obsessively transforming one of my flower gardens into a flower/veggie garden. Pics of that will come soon.

So, then I did go to bed... woke up before James did (he gets up at 3AM every morning) and read the Maltese Falcon for a while (ALMOST DONE! Thank. you. God.) while eating a chalupa... went back to sleep and had the most JACKED UP dreams, EVER. (Dawn, you might want to write these down to use for your books! )
I dreamed that I went out to feed Psychokitty and Luka, and that the neighbors 3 dogs were on the porch too. Then there were more animals, and more... they were caught in the door, pouring into my house... Kitty-Daddy had been trampled and was dead! It was traumatic.
I dreamed that I was being taught ASL using one of those cute sticker-charts they use for kids chores.
I dreamed that my friend Lizbeth and I were running from flesh-eating zombies, but they only appeared to us in flashbacks. It was currently spring, but I would have random flashbacks to winter and then we would have to run from zombies. We kept running by this lake, and my cute pink sandals got lost in the sand. During the next flashback, we went to look for them... I got seperated from Lizbeth and as I shouted her name, this guy said she had ran past him into his apartment. After exploring the run-down apartment place (think - shack from a horror movie), I finally found her puking as she looked down at what I'm guessing must have been bits of a decomposed zombie. We ran out, and continued looking for my sandal (cuz gosh darn it, that pair of sandals is CUTE!!!! I'm actually wearing them at work today lol) We had trouble finding my sandals, as it was summer now and all kinds of people were on the beach... including one family with like 12 pairs of shoes neatly lined up in rows. Finally I found my shoes, thinking how cute it was that I it matched the black shirt and shorts I was wearing, which had pink print. I needed my shoes so I could be at work, which I was on my way to when.....
THE BED STARTED TO SHAKE!!!!!
I was like "what the...." No, it was not a dream... Indiana had a 5.2 magnitude earthquake last night! We just had an aftershock about 30 minutes ago here at work.
Needless to say, it was a relief to wake up this morning. All my sleeping adventures left me completely exhausted! LOL

I am so relieved to know that I am not the only one who has crazy dreams!! *happy dance*

We had a small earthquake here, but thankfully, nothing too serious. Yikes! We have enough dealing with tornadoes, we don't want to add earthquakes.

I like your collage
I HATE earthquakes
hope your ok

I like what Shelley writes - "Play is never a waste of time. It happens when we let ourselves go beyond the rules and expectations of everyday life"

Im going to put that on my home schooling blog

I may try to do a collage later

I know what ya mean about missing romance. Haven't seen it around for like, oh, 15 years. Since the kids came on the scene it is SO hard to find that time to just hang out and snuggle.

We felt the earthquake too. I thought it was Isaac pushing on me with his feet (he was with me cause he had a bad dream) and Jon was restless and couldn't sleep. Said it felt like someone was moving the lazy boy chair back and forth.

I like your collage. I miss crafting things. Seems like there is just never enough hours in the day. But I'll have time for that stuff once my kids are all gone. For now I will just enjoy being a mom, which is awesome.

Holy cow, you must have picked up on all that de-stabilizing energy moving underneath you. I don't miss earthquakes, they are scary aren't they? I think you need to replace your shoes so you stop dreaming about them and zombies, LOL.

Jana, your intuitive collage is beautiful! It's vibrant and wisful at the same time, I love the romantic element but I'm a huge silly romantic. Is this the dreamboard? If so, let me know! I wasn't sure.

Woah, Earthquakes freak me out, the last time we had one was about 4 years ago in the middle of the night and I heard my cabinet in the lounge shaking...

you have the most amazing dreams! I had a professor once who was collecting dreams about shoes. I had one about a high-top boot, that changed into Italy and then went off on Rome and growing up and my Greek heritage (southern Italy was Greek up until very recently but I didn't know that at the time of the dream) and of course I'm married to a (1/2) Italian. I forget now why he was focused on shoes. I should look up the meaning of shoes.

I used to collage pretty regularly. It's a nice, fun, light art form that almost anyone can do! Hmm... think I'm gonna have to pull out the scissors a bit later.

Thanks for the dream/story ideas! :) I wrote them down, alright, though I'm not too crazy about zombies. My husband is addicted to zombie movies, but it drives ME crazy! LOL :) That was interesting, though. When you woke up to your bed shaking, I was ready to ask, "Do you have a Sonic Boom alarm clock, too??" That is what we use. I remember living in CA every time it goes off. LOL I hope you're ok from that earthquake. Your collage looks awesome!!
