Ingredient of the Week - Suggestions Anyone?

All right everyone, today "I got nothin'" No ideas. No recipes running through my brain. The most cooking I've done lately involved a Totinos pizza and the adding of cheese. I AM obsessing about meatloaf, but that isn't an ingredient, it is a combination of other ingredients. And I havn't tried out any of the recipes, just sat them in a neat little pile to try later this week. I *heart* meatloaf experiments.

So since my brain is completely emptry of ideas.... I want some imput!!!!

What ingredients would YOU like to see in here??

Do you have a veggie you want to include in your meals? A spice sitting in your cabinet that you wonder "what the heck is this used for?" A leftover chunk of Romano cheese you need to use up?

Also... do YOU have an awesome recipe you want to share? Let me know, and I'll try to work you into one of the IOTW posts, either by featuring your recipe that day or by letting you guest host the IOTW that week! I know some of you have some great recipes... anyone wanna share? :)

My idea is ricotta cheese. I used half a tub in a recipe last week, now I want to use up the rest!!

The recipe I did use was my sister's rigatoni! So yummy (If not extremely healthy... I will make it more healthy next time!)

Brown 1 lb. of ground beef with onions. Once that is browned/drained, in a large pan, add 1 jar of sauce (your preference - I used a basil-y sauce), about 6 oz of ricotta (or cottage cheese), about the same amount of velveeta cheese, and about the same of shredded cheddar cheese. While this is bubbling together, cook a package (12 or 16 oz I think) of rigatoni noodles. Once they are done/drained - mix with sauce mixture - serve immediately. So yummy!! Quite easy, makes a huge pot, and leftovers are great!

Excellent idea Tammy! I am in the same situation with ricotta cheese. I wish they would sell smaller containers, I hate waste.

I'm in a cooking rut too, hope to be back at it soon. I even messed up my cinnamon buns! Unthinkable.

I'm starting to use chipotle peppers, now that I am in a place that sells them. What do you do with a whole can of them? I tried freezing them but that changed the flavour.
