Weekend Goals & A Pic

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought this weekend would NEVER get here! But finally IT HAS! Life has gone back to semi-normal for the moment... My friends and their 2 year old had been staying here for a few days, which was fun but exhausting (for all of us)... but last night they went back to their home. I also accidently crunched on what I THOUGHT was a piece of popcorn yesterday, which turned out to be a mostly-unpopped kernel... and somehow managed to hurt my mouth. Not sure if I chipped a tooth, cracked a tooth, or just made my jaw hurt... but today it is hurting to talk and to chew. Bleh.

But, the good thing about this all is... I get time AT HOME!!!!!!!!!! So, other than the obvious goals for the weekend (aka, sleep. Sleep more.) I have a few goals for tonight:
  • Get all dishes done - about 50% done
  • Wash all laundry - started
  • Rearrange stuff in freezer
And some goals for the weekend in general:

  • Get all laundry hung up/folded/put away
  • Install and enjoy my newest Nancy Drew computer game
  • Have an Artist Date with myself.

More goals will probably follow... but those are the ones I have now.

I also have some pics that I promised to show to Suzie... Of what? My shoes. My hiking shoes, to be exact. Her post about her hiking shoes made me realize that mine were in deep need of replacements, too. But aren't they just adorable??? They are size 3!

But unfortunately... their tread is almost gone...

And the shoe is trying to come apart from it's sole. :o( So soon we will go shoe shopping...and these will be officially retired.

I hope you all will have an AWESOMELY WONDERFUL weekend! I think I'm off now to get some sleep... but first I just HAVE to show you this pic from last night. My friend's little girl was at my house as I started to make a pumpkin dump cake, and decided it looked like fun. I scooted her chair over by me as I started to put ingredients in the bowl... (she thinks breaking eggs is just amazingly cool!), and then she seemed to want to stir. I was like "hey, free child labor!!!! Woo hoo!!" and gave her the spoon. She mixed in the pumpkin... the milk... the spices... and even the sugar! And look at how much fun we had:

Not only did she mix the stuff... she mixed it really well!!!! Mayhaps one day we'll see her competing on Top Chef?!

Ouch! I hope your mouth feels better.

Size 3 shoes?? Wow, I haven't worn shoes that small since I was like 12! I, frighteningly, wear a 10.

Love the pic of you and the lil girl..too much fun baking..children really do love cooking and baking and can learn so much...I bet she loved having her pic taken too!
My goals...watch football...I am so hooked...maybe squeeze in some art..take care

What a total bummer about your tooth! I've had my teeth break as well, super disturbing and awful.

Thank you for sharing your hiking boots and I totally agree, it's time to get new ones! I mean the sole is falling off, are you kidding me? I hope you're able to find the exact same ones. I find by the time I finally getting around to buying new ones they no longer make mine, boohoo!

What the heck is a dump cake? LOL! That's a new one for this amateur baker.

Never eat popcorn. It can get seriously expensive. I have a tooth that has cracked and been filled and refilled and now has a crown and it all started with popcorn.

What a cutie doing your stirring - almost as pretty a smile as my grandson - and that's pretty darn pretty!
