2 Days Until Departure!

Remember my whole goal of good self-care and getting the house cleaned so I could work efficiently?

It bombed.

I came home and james was asleep on the couch... (he's been staying here - no we aren't having sex - because his brother is in the ICU of a nearby hospital). I cleaned quietly for a few, and then had to run an errand. Everyone came over to work on their assorted crafts, and life started to fall apart.

Craft #1 I tried - Could NOT find the book I needed to do it. Searched the entire house, still no book. *sigh*

Craft #2 Required a pattern and material. Gracie spilled her sprite on the pattern Sunday night, but I set it out to dry... life is good. Well, last night I could NOT find the pattern anywhere. Searched, searched, searched... I'm wondering if it got thrown away? Was going to use a different pattern, so I set the material all out... on the floor... went to look for pattern number two...

And one of the kids was sitting on the material (thinking it was a nice blankie) with her food all spilled on the material.

I gave up. *sigh* No art was made last night. I painted a basic color on 3 boxes, and that was all. Stayed up until Midnight, for a long list of reasons...

But my dishes are ALL DONE! I had time with God, time with friends, and am feeling much better. Today is a new day... *happy sigh*

Let the artmaking begin!!!!!

That must have been beyond frustrating!!! I hate it when I can't find stuff I'm looking for and further more, when my KIDS have moved it somewhere thinking they could use it or they don't tell me they moved it. Mikaela is the crafty person of the house beside me and is notorious for taking all sorts of supplies and stuff and either not putting them back or using something I just bought for me for something for her. Oh, well. At least she is creative. BTW, why is James brother in the ICU?

/Sending well wishes for James' brother.

And now I see you are a real artist. If that isn't the perfect description of a real artist's day the week prior to sales I don't know what is. Congratulations!

And DO still take care of yourself - you're going to be an artists for a very long time.
