Remember forever ago when I ranted about my absolute terror of female exams?
Today was my appointment!! And in spite of the pain, I did NOT cry. I relaxed, obeyed the doctor's orders, and SURVIVED!!!!
The doctor thinks I probably have endometriosis, which could explain the extreme pain during the exam... she's putting me on birth control pills to help, and gave me a numbing cream to use when I need it.
So, to all of you out there who have had sucky GYNs.... THERE IS HOPE! Keep looking! There ARE doctors out there who will listen to your concerns, and actually FIND what's wrong!!! Who knew?!

Jana - I've gone through this - I have horrible periods and probable endometriosis as well. The BC pills have helped SOO much for me. Regulating and helping things be not so bad!
I'm proud of you too - for being brave and taking care of yourself. A very important doctor visit!!
