Faith and Politics

I have developed a very nice interest in politics, since the campaigning for the upcoming presidential primaries has gotten into full swing.

I'm planning to start putting some of this political stuff on my blog, and wondered if any of you had put political things on your blog, and what advice you might have about keeping peace on your posts?

So, stay tuned on my blog to hear deep thoughts like:

Is it sacrilege to be a Christian Democrat?

Why did my friend say Obama is the AntiChrist?

Why can African-American Christians be Democrats, and it's acceptable, but I can't?

Why I *heart* Obama.

Which would be better: Making all abortions illegal, or educating young women and giving them better access to contraceptives?

And much, much, more!!!!! :)

In the meantime... a quiz!

Jana - I will be very interested to hear your views! I am very liberal and left... ALL of my family is very right-wing, republican... Where did I come from!!?

I have stayed away from politics and religion on my blog simply to avoid conflict... however, I am very opinionated! :) I do have a few things like the backwards bush counter, and the blogs for peace thingy. I think if you're open though, you can have some discussion and not have conflict. I hope at least!

Jana - I always put a warning up on my blog about politics - but now that I'm doing "Body Politics" I'm letting it speak for itself. Because it does - the art, that is. And that's on a different web site.
If anyone flames you, delete them. If they want to have a logical discussion (and not rant) leave them. It's your blog. YOU have the power. Use it. And don't feel bad about it. This is YOUR space.
And I "heart" Obama too. Even tho my age lumps me into what all the spin doctors are saying belongs to Hilary. no way unless forced. Go Obama!

Hey kiddo, it is your blog and you must set the rules when in a political discussion. If they don't, delete their comments.

I am conservative Republican and I am very, very vocal on all political issues. Just a slight warning.

I agree with any Republican he supports this war. Huckabee is my favorite. And all of my answers would be him for your quiz.

I will enjoy hearing your political views. I just hope that if we disagree we will not hold it against each other, I cherish your friendship.

This is your place and you can delete all offenders. I'd love a Obama/Edwards ticket and I'm christian. ;)
