Are you wondering WHERE ON EARTH I got the inspiration for my zombie scenerio in my last post? Well, after deep contemplation, I realized the answer to that question:
I looked in the mirror.
Yes, I currently feel like I look like the walking dead. Perhaps it's my eyelids constantly wanting to droop, or the fact that I could pack for a family vacation in the bags under my eyes,... but whatever it is, my entire body is letting me know quite loudly that I NEED TO SLEEP.
I've made it through 11 days without my happy pills. I've conquered mood swings, irritability, nervous tension....
But I can't freakin sleep at night!!!!!! This has GOT to end, or I'm going to crack emotionally just from needing a nap.
We'll see if I can manage to catch some Z's tonight.
UPDATE: It's 11:15PM and I'm still awake. Tried to lay down at 7:30, but got hyper and couldn't sleep. Tried to lay down at 10, but started to worry, and couldn't sleep. Perhaps instead of Prozac, I just need Lunesta??????? *sigh* Here we go again... gonna play a video game for a few and then try sleep again.

Sorry you're having trouble sleeping. That's been my biggest withdraw symptom from not having my antidepressant for a couple weeks now. Melatonin helps, as does some soft worship music or reading Psalms or Proverbs. Hope it gets better!
This is classic issues of serotonin seesawing as a result of you coming off meds. It will settle more with time. Maybe try some cammomile tea at night to help take the edge off?
I love the sound of a fan. I need the cooling of the fan too, but I can concentrate on that sound and go right to sleep. It also doesn't hurt to have a dog to curl up around (Husband is always working at night and isn't a cuddler when he isn't). Husband can go to sleep in an instand just by rubbing my back. Perhaps you need to rub James' back and see if it helps (I'm sure he won't mind being a guina pig for that). Cut out all caffeine. No chocolate (and I understand, given the Zombie scenario, what I'm saying here), no sodas with caffeine, no tea with caffeine (chamoille is fine - herbal, no caffeine traces).
