Wellness Wednesday

Well, today is Wellness Wednesday... and for once, I'm remembering to post! Woo hooo!!!!

I realized today that it has been 6 months since I found out that I had high cholesterol. What have I done between now and then to lower my cholesterol?

-I have eaten oatmeal for breakfast almost every weekday, instead of potato chips or microwave popcorn (extra butter!). Thanks to my blogging budds comments, I have learned new ways to make my oatmeal tasty! (thanks everyone!)
-I have limited my consumption of fast food, and working towards eliminating it.
-I am eating much less pre-packaged food, and making more things from scratch or almost-scratch.

I'm also making some progress emotionally, which I want to tell you about.
-I have seen my therapist twice this month, to talk about issues with my job.
-Thanks to wise words from you all, and some VERY much-needed advice from Alison yesterday, I took my first step towards finding a new job... I went to Goodwill and grabbed some new skirts to wear! Most of my current work clothes are VERY casual (so is this office) and some have gotten kinda worn out or stained... definately time for new clothes. Can't go to a new job in icky clothes!!

I have the paperwork for my next cholesterol test... everyone cross your fingers!
