Life in Random

Some random thoughts from my weekend:

-A yummy potato recipe for you: Peel & cut up potatoes as if for mashing. Put them in a saucepan and bring the water to boil. Boil for about 15 minutes. While the potatos boil, melt some margerine (i used about 1/3 of a cup for 4 HUGE potatoes) and stir in garlic, salt, pepper, and random spices that sound yummy) Drain the potatoes, put them in a bowl, and pour the margerine mixure over the taters. Toss or stir the taters to mix the spices in. Eat until satisfied.

-Since the wedding, I've found myself becoming more and more withdrawn. At first I thought it was just because marriage was new, and I wanted to get used to my hubby. Then I thought it was beause all of my friends were argueing, and who really wants to deal with that stress?? But it's been two and a half months now, and it has NOT gotten better. In fact, it's WORSE!!! I dread going anywhere where I have to talk to people... friends houses, church,... bleck. I hope it goes away soon. I miss feeling friendly. I don't really miss being used/screwed over though, so I guess it all equals out in the end. :o)

-Migrane season is officially here.

-Diablo 2 is the most fun game, EVER.

-I have a new poll on the right side of my blog! Vote! Vote!

-Hitman is an AWESOME movie! I *heart* it.

-I love my hubby.

I go through that withdrawal phase in the fall, usually. I think that most of us have to take breaks from people, and I really think your coworkers/"friends" didn't really help you out. Bleh. But, yum, potatoes! Yay, husband!

It's probably just winter getting you down. Hopefully that's all it is. I can't drag my butt anywhere either. It's been such a hard time with this crappy weather.

The quiche is really easy! Fry up some onions and garlic in a big sautee pan. Then put it 1-2 cups milk to heat it up. In a bowl whisk 3 eggs and slowly add the warm milk with the onions and garlic to the eggs, tempering them so they don't scramble. Butter a pie plate. But some cheese on the bottom and top with the egg mix. Bake at 375F for 35 minutes!

Those potatoes sound great! I add flavoured cream cheese to mine a lot as well as some of that packaged ranch dressing. Yummy!

I'm thinking that "Dude, where's my car?" is not from the 80's?

I hope the migraines don't get you down too much. My husband suffers from them quite a bit :(

I can understand the way you are feeling after your wedding stuff. It's so hard when people hurt you in such a deep way. In some ways, it's ok that your are spending alot of time working on your new marriage and on yourself. Hang in there. The other stuff will resolve. Just pray and ask the Father what he would have you to do with the situation. Please remember you didn't make the bad things that happened that day happen. Please don't take that guilt and shame on. Stressful situations bring out the best or the worst in people and it's times like those you find out who your true friends are.

you're nesting. You have someone to nest with and a place to nest in. Enjoy it! It will cycle away.

I think allergies started early this year: husband and daughter, both highly allergic to spring stuff, started at the beginning of March. Poor them! Poor you! At least all I have is hot flashes...
