Yes, I do have new budding obsessions! Would you like to hear about them? Good!
- Crocheting is quickly becoming an all-consuming obsession! I've currently crocheted most of two bibs (gotta do the edges in a different color, then will scan pics.) and working on crocheting more of these cute little ornaments to put on my Etsy site! (in various colors and various textures... I think I'll sell them in sets of 6 or 12 of matching ones.)

- And speaking of crochet... I found THIS book at the library, and it teaches you about freeform knitting and crochet. Honestly, the INSTANT I saw this book, I KNEW it was what I'd been looking for! I'm hoping/desperately praying/expecting that this book will help me learn how to really put my HEART into what I do. I'm not satisfied to follow other people's patterns forever... I want to be the one MAKING the patterns! Or not even USING patterns!!! Talking about that almost makes me cry.
- And speaking of things that almost make me cry for joy... I'm obsessed with Earl Had To Die, by the Dixie Chicks. Click here to find the lyrics to it... listening to it makes me happy inside.
- And speaking of things that make me happy inside... it's time for me to to babysit Gracie and Baby Hannah for a couple of hours!!! Me and my yarn will return to you all later, after cuddling the wee one and roughhousing with the toddler!

I absolutely LOVE your ornaments and am in awe of your talent in crocheting....I have tried to learn and I just cannot do it...I would love to knit or crochet but my brain has a block about it....so I will just drool over your beautiful crafts.
Have fun babysitting and I look forward to seeing more of your results...
take care - Peace--Ellie
It's lovely Jana! So pretty, I think they're perfect for Etsy. I love that you want to create your own patterns eventually, that is so you. I also love that Dixie Chicks song, man, that's an awesome blast from the past. They were outspoken even back then, I love that about them.
I don't know if you get this show in the U.S. but on HGTV here we have She's Crafty and it's a funky show on cool crafting that I think you would totally love. Not sure it's Canadian or not though!
I LOVE the Dixie Chicks - as much for their politics and "this is who I am-ness" as their music (which is sometimes a bit country for me, but I bought one of their albums anyways).
Working without a pattern - that means you have mastery! (well, as much as anyone - it means you're well on your way) - how exciting! It's always more fun...be sure to allow yourself space to play. Everything doesn't have to be perfect (I'm speaking as much to myself as you).
