Down But Not Out

Hello my lovely blogging budds!

Did you think I had given up on AEM?? (Art Every Day Month, started by the beloved blogger Leah)

NOPE!!! I'm still going! I haven't gotten as much "done" as I'd planned to... but I HAVE been working!!!

I have been trying this week to get my friend Brittany's baby stocked up on hats and booties... the hat part is going GREAT!!! (Pics will be taken very soon!!) But the booties??? Whew... I'm sucking at that, right now. Wow am I sucking at them! The first pattern made HUGE booties. The second one was going great, until the heel, which seemed to be written in Swahili. *sigh* Gracie now has that one, and uses it as a chew toy when she is playing the role of the "Gracie puppy". LOL

I also came up with some wicked cool designs for new ornaments to make! I can't wait to get started on them!!!

And on an emotional note... I had a nice emotional blowout last night, and feel much better.

OK, I'll try commenting again...!!!

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better now Jana and are able to get into the creative groove of things again. I know that I've had a ton of creative screw ups lately, it's like I make 10 pendants to come up with one good one. Ugh! It's all part of the journey though and I can't wait to see what you've been up to.

Wow, Jana - I've just been trying to play catch-up, what a lot has been going on - love the mandala colors you used. Maybe the baby will grow into the bigger booties? Booties may be slightly over-rated anyway - my babies could never seem to keep their booties on, we were always losing one, or both when they wore them, it seemed. Usually they just had footie sleepers on in the colder weather anyway. That was my excuse for just crocheting them afghans :) Hope all goes well with your friend's new baby and that this week is wonderful for you. ((hugs))
