Last night, as I was looking around the kids DVD section of the library (needed to find a video about Moses for "my kids" tonight, and some info about Israel then & now), I noticed a Signing Time video. Well, I've always dreamed of learning ASL, so I grabbed it up and went on my merry way. Watched it last night when I should have been sleeping... *yawn*... learned some new words... "play", "my turn", and "dirty"... (*thinking* I'm sure those will be all the ASL words I'd need for ASL in the workplace... *adding ASL to resume*) and when I went to the Signing Time website today to find out where they got all the cute little kids, I found out that Rachel from Signing Time has a BLOG!! Yep, seriously. You can read it too, here!

In other news, I have another owie/humiliation story to share! (Because, humiliation MUST be shared on this blog. It's an unspoken rule.) Today as I walked into the bathroom at work, somehow I managed to... well... picture this:
I am walking rather quickly toward the restroom. *walking*
I open the door... *opening*
Somehow in the process of opening the door, my foot gets tangled IN the door (don't ask how, I have no idea.), and I smack my forehead very hard on the door itself. *THWACK!*
Luckily it's right where my hair meets my forehead, so that hides the bruise... and no one was in the room to see it happen... but I have a nice raised bump on my head that hurts like heck. *rubbing owie*

And now that you've had your entertainment for the day... at my expense... here is a quote, from my beloved Poe. Can anyone tell me which of his stories this quote is from? Winner gets added to my Hall Of Fame!
In fact, as regards the more important knowledge, I do believe that she is invariably superficial. The depth lies in the valleys where we seek her, and not upon the mountain-tops where she is found. ~ Edgar Allen Poe

I need to read Poe again, I have forgotten how much I loved his writings.
Thanks for the heads up on that signing blog. Interesting.
And I hope your bruise goes away!
Re Poe - I have no idea, but the owie? I lose my hands and fingers and feet and toes and knees and things jump out in front of me...my Momma used to say my middle name was Calamity.
He he, I'm sorry, (he he) that you hit your (ha ha) head on the (hhaa hhaa) bathroom door (ah ha ha ha ha)
Ok, seriously I am sorry you have a big owie in the middle of your forehead, but picturing that sounds pretty funny. Guess it's good this side of the family has hard heads!
Um. This will sound like I'm copying you, but I've done the EXACT same thing! I was like, "Uh...what just happened. I only wanted to use the bathroom. Ow."
