So then we got out our brushes and started to paint. I couldn't BELIEVE how easy it was (at least compared to what I THOUGHT it would be like, which is very hard. She showed us how to do specific types of strokes with our brushes to make different effects. The coolest one that she taught us about was when we went to make little tufts of grass! They were too neat. You can see the tufts of grass in the picture below, along with my "official" signature!! The picture to the right shows you what my painting looked like when we took a break for lunch. (CHINESE!!!! Yeah!!) I love my tree... he's so abnormal, it's cute!!! I have fallen in love with painting trees... it may end up being addictive.
My only sad news for the weekend is... guess who forgot to take a pic of her finished painting? Yep, me. I will do that if I remember to when it's still light outside tomorrow... it's too hard to get the colors to show up right without lots of light.
Now I'm off to bed... I shall blog more tomorrow!

How fun!!!!! I've always wanted to oil paint. Did acrylics but didn't like how fast the paint dried. Can't wait to see the finished picture!
