Saturday afternoon, as I opened my mail, I found a nice little letter telling me that my drivers license has been suspended for 90 days. Evidently I "failed to provide proof of insurance" after my car accident in May. I gave the cops my insurance co name, my agent's name, and my policy number... exactly WHAT did I not provide?????????!!!!! I was kinda flipping out, but Sunday I had a migrane when I woke up so I just stayed home and relaxed.
So, this morning, I got up... planning to just pray like crazy that I didn't have any accidents or other misfortunes as I drove... but I felt like God was telling me not to drive. I was like... "Are you crazy? It's cold outside! And I'm sleepy! And I wanna exercise this morning! Nope. No walking today." So I got up, prayed (ignoring the fact that he was telling me to walk), exercised, packed my lunch... got all of my stuff...
And realized that I couldn't find my car key. I searched everywhere I could think of... in the couch cushions, in my skirt pocket, on my bed, by the computer... nothing! So, after all that searching... I ended up walking to work anyway. Silently fuming at God, because he was right and if I'd listened to him I would have had a nice relaxing walk to work, in a nice warm jacket (I was too mad to think of grabbing one as I left, so I was kinda cold by the time I got to work 25 minutes later!!!)
Now my legs are hurting like heck from having exercised and THEN speed-walked to work. I don't have my jacket, it's cold in the office, I have no Cheetos to eat for breakfast.... I hate Mondays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You couldnt find your key? Wow...what confirmation tho that you were not supposed to drive to work. I wonder what bad accident God saved you from???
Jana, I think it was no accident you did not find your car keys. Call the Sec. of States office and see if you have the copy of accident report. See what you can do to get this turned around. In the mean time, use your feet or the bus. Driving under a suspended license will land you in jail if you get pulled over for anything. (don't you watch cops LOL) Hopefully someone can give you a ride home :)
He probably saved me from being pulled over and arrested... driving with a suspended license IS illegal ya know. *sigh*

I did call the insurance company today, and she promised to immediately fax a form to the DMV people. Hopefully by Wednesday it'll all be fixed! Yeah!!!!
Ohhhh, sweetie!! So sorry that you had to go through that. It's crazy how God probably did protect you from having an accident, though, losing your keys like that.
